Logistics Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing distribution controls, and directing manufacturing capacity utilization for optimal customer service levels.

The successful candidate will support technical aspects of workload distribution tools through collaboration and analysis with operations teams. They will confirm electronic data interchange accuracy between customers and suppliers for drop ship, offset printing, global connect partners, and distribution in AU operations.

The Logistics Operations Specialist will assign carriers for outbound, inbound, and international transportation based on customer, publisher, and/or supplier routing guides. They will provide support and enhancement of existing workflows/SOPs with operations teams.

The role involves analyzing logistical support tasks across sub-systems and equipment specific to Manufacturing and Distribution areas. The successful candidate will also support new product releases for book types, trim sizes, product launches, and new carrier integration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinates with Global Routing Team to schedule work and manage distribution controls.
  • Directs manufacturing capacity utilization for optimal customer service levels.
  • Supports technical aspects of workload distribution tools through collaboration and analysis.
  • Confirms electronic data interchange accuracy between customers and suppliers.
  • Assigns carriers for outbound, inbound, and international transportation.
  • Provides support and enhancement of existing workflows/SOPs with operations teams.
