Job Opportunity

We are seeking a senior professional to lead the delivery of project planning and logistics execution within Project Services, with a particular focus on Exploration and Resource Development activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe delivery of specialist projects, improving contractor onboarding processes, contractor and staff compliance, rostering management and logistics, whilst continuing to service the day-to-day demands of contractors and MinRes project services staff.

This role involves leading a team and reporting directly to our Manager of Contract and Compliance for Project Development Operations. The position will predominantly be located at our HQ Office in Osborne Park and occasionally require travel to site to assist with our Project Services drilling activities as the business requires.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establishment of medium- and long-term operational planning strategies to ensure the safe and efficient execution of field activities and programs within the Project Services portfolio.
  • Manage the Project Services Logistics and Coordination team for the successful on-boarding and mobilisation of Project Services staff and contractors to site.
  • Leading a small team responsible for the planning and delivery of Project Services activities, including the administration and movement of regular site-based staff in the execution of field activities.
  • Manage the Project Services Activities Schedule (MS Project) to assist with project scheduling across PS sites, to include drill rig allocation, earthworks allocation, survey (airborne/wireline/environment/heritage) planning and coordination.
  • Liaison between key stakeholders to lead the planning of personnel resourcing for Resource Development and Exploration projects.
  • Participation in the Hazard Identification / Risk Assessments process, for key projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in the Mining or Natural Resources industry.
  • Extensive experience in Projects, Logistics and people movement.
  • Relevant experience in Exploration and Drilling activities.
  • Previous Project Management Experience.
  • Demonstrated experience liaising with contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Demonstrated success leading a team, in a staffing or project capacity.
  • Vast experience participating in the Hazard Identification / Risk Assessment process.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to Manage and Plan projects.
  • Strong ability to engage with stakeholders to enhance project outcomes.
  • Comprehensive skills in the use of Microsoft office suite, including MS Project.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask independently.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Strong safety focus.
