Job Overview

The role of a Senior Manager in Financial Crime involves working with leading organisations to prevent, detect, and deter criminal and illicit activity.

  • Deliver complex financial crime projects, including managing teams and stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop innovative offerings, strategic relationship building, and thought leadership publications to drive the growth of the Financial Crime team.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on enhancing their efforts to combat financial crime.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial crime compliance policies, procedures, and data.
  • Oversee report drafting and presentation material for senior management to help understand and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Manage financial crime proposal development by understanding client requirements and preparing fit-for-purpose proposal scopes.

Key Qualities
  • A specialist in financial crime risk management with a passion for sharing ideas, inspiring change, and communicating complex concepts.
  • Strong relationships and networking skills, with the ability to quickly build connections with stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present findings to various audiences and distill complex issues into key messages.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage time across multiple projects concurrently and lead a team to deliver large-scale financial crime projects on time and on budget.

Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in financial crime (AML/CTF or Sanctions) with a professional consulting environment, a financial institution, or a regulatory/law enforcement agency.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, international relations, consulting, financial crime risk management, or other relevant business-related academic background.
