Job Opportunity
- We are seeking a skilled analytical professional to join our research lab.
About the Role
This position involves operating and maintaining critical laboratory instruments, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting daily operations in a busy research environment. You will work alongside experienced scientists to further develop your analytical skills and contribute to project-based research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain key analytical instruments (ion chromatography, carbon analyser, potentiometric titrator)
- Monitor instrument performance using quality control tools
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve performance or data issues
- Support laboratory safety and implement process improvements
- Manage spare parts and consumables
- Perform general laboratory upkeep
- Assist with proficiency testing activities (e.g., sample splitting)
- Contribute to supervised technical projects as capacity allows
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field
- 2-3 years experience in an analytical laboratory
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of quality control processes and statistical analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Excel
- Valid driver's license
