Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at our 60-bed Residential facility in Doncaster. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing individualised care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our residents, supporting them to maintain their independence and participate in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualised care to residents, including assistance with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing and toileting.
  • Support residents to maintain their independence, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care/Individual Support, Bachelor or Diploma of Nursing or completed first-year study towards it.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in residential aged care.
  • Must be available a minimum of 6 days per fortnight.
  • Demonstrated competency in delivering excellent care to residents with complex care needs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to read care plans.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses).
  • Great team player who demonstrates client-focused behaviour.
  • Shows empathy and treats others with dignity and respect.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
