The Commercial Finance Manager Editorial will play a vital role in ensuring financial discipline for our editorial business.
This opportunity is unique, allowing you to leverage your financial expertise to directly support the creation of high-quality journalism.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic finance partner to editorial leaders, providing clear and actionable financial insights.
- Manage and control the entire editorial cost base, focusing on staff and content-related expenses.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for all editorial cost centers, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities for cost savings and growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience in finance or commercial accounting, with a degree and/or CA/CPA qualification.
- Proven business partnering skills, including the ability to build trust and communicate financial concepts effectively.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in core financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
- Experience in media/publishing, managing staff costs, and using systems such as D365, TM1, SAP, or Tableau is highly valued.
