Finance Officer Role

This is a key role in our finance research support team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective financial management of our research projects.
Responsibilities
- Review contract agreements to ensure accurate financial data capture in our systems.
- Manage timely and accurate invoicing and financial reporting in compliance with contractual requirements.
- Process contract variations, including associated amendments to project records and adjustments to invoicing and financial reporting.
- Monitor shared inboxes and escalate queries where necessary to ensure timely and customer-focused responses.
- Support development and maintenance of procedural documentation for all areas of responsibility.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to accurately capture and process financial data using business systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with researchers and other teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a customer service environment.
- Familiarity with corporate financial software systems.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work under time constraints to ensure prompt responses to stakeholders.
