Fibre Cabling Role

We are seeking an experienced cabler to join our team in NSW Metro and Regional areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fibre splicing and data cable installation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing internal data cables and optical fibre cables in customer premises.
  • Performing optical power meter, OTDR and Insertion Loss Testing of optical fibres.
  • Rod & Roping (Pipe proofing).
  • Clearing Blockages in Underground Pipes.
  • Slicing and testing copper cables and fibre cables.
  • Building joint closures such as DJL, FJL and BJLs.
  • Setting up worksites and traffic management, ensuring the safety of the worksite.
Requirements

To be successful, candidates must have at least 2 years working experience in Fibre splicing and OTDR troubleshooting. Additionally, they must possess relevant accreditations and qualifications:

  • Rights to Work Australia.
  • Construction Industry white card.
  • Recent Police Clearance.
  • Relevant NBN fibre splicing Accreditations.
  • First Aid & CPR.
  • Full NSW Driver's Licence.
  • ACMA registration.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • At least three years of experience of removing non-friable asbestos.
  • Confined Space & Gas Test.
  • Power Awareness.
  • RIIWHS302D- Implement traffic management plan.
  • Working at heights.
