Manufacturing Process Optimization Expert

As a key member of our production team, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist to optimize our manufacturing operations.
This role involves collaborating closely with engineers and production teams to enhance our production processes, ensuring seamless execution from design to delivery.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, maintaining equipment and updating process documentation to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Support engineers in project development by designing or procuring test equipment and conducting tests, including process validations, to guarantee product quality.
- Develop and revise production documentation, such as travelers, routings, drawings, work and inspection instructions, and BOMs, to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in improving manufacturing methods and procedures, including drafting change orders and deviations, to streamline production processes.
- Program production equipment effectively to minimize downtime and maximize output.
- Identify and resolve process, material, or equipment issues, offering solutions to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency.
- Design, assemble, procure, or modify tooling, fixtures, and equipment for efficient production methods, reducing costs and increasing productivity.
- Schedule, perform, and document routine maintenance on manufacturing and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues at various organizational levels to drive success.
- Contribute to team success by undertaking additional tasks as necessary to achieve goals.
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and within a team, fostering effective collaboration and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), SolidWorks or similar, and Altium or similar, to efficiently manage data and designs.
- Knowledge of electronics industry standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IPC-A-620) to ensure compliance and quality.
- Familiarity with lean methodology is advantageous, allowing us to continuously improve our processes.
- Hands-on problem-solving capabilities and a self-motivated, self-directed approach, driving results-oriented thinking.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, upholding our commitment to safety and integrity.
- Ability to perform computer and desk work for extended periods, demonstrating endurance and focus.
- Capability to perform machine and production-related tasks, requiring good hand/finger dexterity and eyesight, to ensure precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, showcasing physical stamina and adaptability.
