Operations Manager Role

Lead operational teams to achieve efficiency and quality in meat processing operations, meeting organisational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate teams to drive change and improve business performance.
  • Ensure efficient information flow and reporting on daily operations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Analyse data to guide activities and respond to issues effectively.
  • Implement improvements for products, equipment, and processes.
  • Manage projects within set direction, timeframes, and milestones.
  • Review and implement best practices across compliance areas.
  • Collate and analyse production data to ensure productivity targets are met.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and effectively within budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience in operational management.
  • Strong leadership experience within the FMCG or manufacturing sectors.
  • Meat industry experience highly regarded.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for leading, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Solution-focused, fostering new ideas and initiatives.
  • Collaborative approach to communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience in delivering results against deadlines.
  • Ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of Food Quality and Safety Standards.
