Operations Engineer

This is an on-site position that supports technical and process improvement work at various mills located in the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate new technologies and implement process changes to reduce costs, increase production, and enhance quality
- Lead technical processes for operating areas to solve equipment and process-related problems
- Provide support data for all reports and performance updates
- Conduct data analysis to reduce variability or improve performance
- Develop a working knowledge of process areas, including process flow, operator responsibility, major quality attributes, and areas for improvement
- Initiate, conduct, and document results of process trials to improve productivity and/or quality
- Participate in the development of less experienced engineers; provide crew supervision during trials or upset conditions
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Chemical Engineering or Paper Science preferred
- Entry-level position with internship experience in manufacturing or paper industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of Process Information Systems
