Job Overview:

The position of Principal Geotechnical Engineer presents an exceptional opportunity to lead and manage geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for analysing and preparing recommendations and reports for projects related to geotechnical interpretation, foundation design, slope stability, dams and other geotechnical aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement geotechnical designs that meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver design solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Provide expert advice on materials testing objectives to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations.
  • Lead project tenders and cost estimates to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent and chartered status with Engineers Australia.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to foster strong relationships.
  • Proven experience in geotechnical design with strong numerical/analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
  • Interpersonal and technical skills to develop and lead geotechnical design teams.
