Career Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Geotechnical Professional to lead geotechnical designs for surface and underground structures in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in geotechnical investigation, analysis and design with a strong background in civil engineering or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage geotechnical designs for various projects.
  • Analyse data and prepare recommendations and reports for geotechnical interpretation, foundation design, slope stability, dams and other geotechnical aspects.
  • Collaborate with teams in Australia and overseas to deliver design solutions.
  • Understand materials testing objectives to support geotechnical investigation and design recommendations.
  • Lead project tenders and cost estimates.
  • Mentor team members to improve their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent and chartered status with relevant professional bodies.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and clients, fostering strong relationships and clear communication.
  • Proven geotechnical design experience and strong numerical/analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to produce accurate work.
  • Experience in developing Geotechnical Base Line reports is desirable.
