The role of Night Auditor involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions within a hotel setting.
This position plays a critical part in maintaining hotel operations, providing exceptional guest experiences, and exceeding expectations through precision, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Night Manager in handling emergency situations and incidents at night, utilizing excellent communication and problem-solving skills to ensure swift resolution.
- Audit current day's trading transactions and ensure they are properly balanced and posted, employing knowledge of accounting principles and analytical skills.
- Exceed guest needs as they occur during the night shift, demonstrating a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Identify discrepancies between revenue and payments, employing analytical skills and attention to detail to resolve any issues promptly.
- Perform security walks throughout the night, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff alike.
- Perform system backups and maintenance procedures, applying technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
- Deliver our Service Excellence guiding principles by consistently demonstrating a positive attitude, empathy, and a commitment to excellence.
- Provide support in Front Office and other outlets across the hotel as needed, showcasing adaptability and teamwork.
Candidates must possess:
- A love of crunching numbers and basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Understanding of PMS (Opera preferred) and proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Previous night shift experience and experience in a hotel environment.
- A common sense approach and calm demeanor in challenging situations.
- Availability for at least 3 shifts per week, including weekends.
