Senior Leadership Role in HR and Training

The Head of Human Resources and Training is a senior leadership position that offers opportunities to shape people capability, drive training excellence, and influence outcomes that matter.

This role involves leading the delivery of people and training strategies across the partnership, providing strategic advice to the Managing Director and leadership team, overseeing HR operations & business partnering, and ensuring compliance with requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the key people partner to the Managing Director, providing strategic counsel on organisational design, workforce strategy, and leadership capability.
  • Partner with Heads of Function (HoFs) to align people and culture initiatives with business priorities.
  • Lead the People & Culture strategy, ensuring it reflects organisational values, future workforce needs, and enterprise growth objectives.
  • Embed behavioural competencies across the employee lifecycle to build a consistent, high-performance, values-led culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of HR delivery, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, succession, and compliance.
  • Drive the Learning & Development agenda and elevate leadership capability across the organisation.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion, leading enterprise programs such as Indigenous participation, gender equity, and veteran employment.
Requirements:
  • Proven success managing a HR Business Partner function.
  • Strong background in delivering HR services and training in corporate and/or public sector settings.
  • Broad expertise across all HR functions including employee relations, change management, diversity & inclusion, compensation & benefits, organisational development, and training.
  • Exceptional leadership, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder engagement skills.
