Strategy Manager Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy Manager to join our team at Melbourne Airport. As a key member of our strategy team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our airport.

The airport is a world-class infrastructure asset serving as the primary gateway to Melbourne and Victoria. It's in an exciting growth phase, delivering transformative projects and sustained passenger growth.

As we soar towards new heights, ambitious projects are underway, including the development of a third runway, state-of-the-art terminals, and major business park projects creating opportunities for growth and innovation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic insights and supporting effective decision making across the organisation
  • Acting as a commercial advisor across business units, developing a common understanding on business priorities
  • Managing project execution, applying structured problem-solving approaches, developing storyboards, devising research and analysis, and effectively communicating conclusions
  • Leading project teams working with strategy team members, business experts, and external consultants
  • Playing a leading role in annual corporate planning, preparation for Board strategy days, and executive materials
  • Interacting with and influencing Airport stakeholders, including the executive team and Board
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of experience in strategy / consulting or a similar role in a large corporate organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, finance, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Industry sector experience in aviation, commercial property, retail, or capital-intensive businesses
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience working with senior leadership and external advisors
  • Project management skills, including complex project lead roles
  • High-level data analysis, interrogation, insight generation, and visualisation skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
