Business Strategy Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Strategy Advisor to join our leadership team. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about driving business growth and development.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and developing a team of junior professionals, ensuring they achieve strategic objectives while building their own capability and adding value to clients and the firm.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting and tax principles, including income tax, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax, goods and services tax, payroll tax, Division 7A, transfer pricing, accounting standards, consolidations, tax-effect accounting, and small business concessions.

They will also have exceptional business acumen to deliver strategic advice and meet key performance indicators, as well as a client-centric approach with the proven ability to collaborate across divisions and deliver an exceptional end-to-end client experience.

The Business Strategy Advisor will play a key role in shaping the future of our firm, working closely with senior leaders and other stakeholders to drive business growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing a team of junior professionals
  • Building relationships with clients, colleagues, and team members to drive collaboration and long-term success
  • Becoming a trusted business advisor by providing proactive, commercially driven business, tax, and strategic advice tailored to client needs
  • Delivering real-time results by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, meeting key deadlines and budget expectations
  • Building new opportunities by identifying and preparing proposals for business development initiatives
  • Driving continuous improvement by leading initiatives that enhance team performance and evolve the Business Advisory service offering

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or a related degree, plus CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualifications
  • Exceptional business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring, managing, and inspiring teams to exceed expectations
  • Client-centric approach, with a focus on delivering exceptional end-to-end client experiences
