Mental Health Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking a Casual Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Head to Health Launceston. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering short- to medium-term, evidence-based interventions and conducting group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for individuals aged 18 years and over.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans
- Work collaboratively with the service delivery team to plan and develop services
- Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
- Mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
- Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
- Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
- Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
- Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
