About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Head to Health Launceston. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering short- to medium-term, evidence-based interventions and conducting group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans for individuals aged 18 years and over.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based interventions and conduct group work, comprehensive assessments, and care plans
  • Work collaboratively with the service delivery team to plan and develop services
  • Participate in clinical review and quality-assurance processes
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships with external stakeholders
Requirements
  • Mental health-related degree (e.g. psychology, social work, counselling) and related registration along with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the relevant field
  • Knowledge and experience in the provision of clinical mental health assessment and evidence-based interventions
  • Proven judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
  • Sound understanding of the public, non-government and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
  • Demonstrated computer skills and ability to maintain clinical records
  • Proven understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy and confidentiality
  • Positive, solution-focused attitude with commitment to positively participate in service improvement activities and personal clinical growth
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a WWVP
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
