Business Development Manager

Our client, a reputable national company, is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to join their team in the Eastern Melbourne branch. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our client's market share in the strapping and stretch wrapping solutions industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential B2B clients, building relationships with key decision-makers to drive sales.
  • Product Presentation: Demonstrate and sell the range of strapping and stretch wrapping machinery and equipment, highlighting their benefits and value to prospective clients.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets, leveraging your industry knowledge and network.
  • Customer Solutions: Assess client needs and provide tailored solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to strategically position our products.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback to assist in strategic planning and performance evaluation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in B2B sales with a focus on larger machinery and equipment. Experience in the strapping and stretch wrapping or packaging industry is highly desirable.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of machinery and equipment sales, with the ability to quickly grasp technical details and industry-specific requirements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with business clients.
  • Results-Driven: Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable with technical aspects of machinery and equipment, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
