Consultant Psychiatrist Hospital Mental Health, Eating Disorders and Adolescent Inpatient

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team and provide specialist care to patients with eating disorders and other acute mental health problems.

About the Role
  • Provide clinical oversight of patient care and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality treatment and support.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and develop recovery plans for patients with eating disorders and other mental health conditions.
  • Lead and participate in quality improvement activities to drive excellence in clinical practice.
  • Maintain effective systems for coordinating clinical care with multidisciplinary teams both during business hours and after-hours.
Requirements
  • Specialist Medical Practitioner registration with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in the mental health sector and sound knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Excellent clinical skills and commitment to professional development.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Accreditation as an RANZCP Supervisor.
  • Completion of accredited postgraduate training in child and adolescent psychiatry.
  • Experience in inpatient mental health including assessment and management of young people with eating disorders.
