Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly Sales Assistant to work on a casual basis in our retail store. The successful candidate will have a real customer service focus, be highly motivated and proactive, and have high integrity. They will also have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, composure under stress and pressure, and a determination to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers
  • Assist customers with product inquiries and sales
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and improving store performance
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the store

Requirements

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a pet-related industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and reliability
  • Ability to lift heavy items (e.g., bags of dog food)
