Health and Fitness Operations Manager

About the Role:

The Health and Fitness Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of a fitness and aquatic centre. This includes managing memberships, coordinating Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements, workforce planning, budgeting, financial management, human resources, space & facilities management, data/information management, policy, compliance, and reporting.

Working closely with senior managers, the successful candidate will implement strategic initiatives to ensure sound operational planning and delivery to engage and support a diverse range of stakeholders across various programs and facility functions.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in operational leadership, including the ability to conceptualize and develop services, events, and programs to support the organization's strategic direction and aspirations.

They will also demonstrate high-level communication and leadership skills to lead a team in the daily operational management of the fitness and aquatic centre, as well as digital literacy skills and ability to autonomously manage time and tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and coordinate all operational elements of the fitness and aquatic centre
  2. Implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  3. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  4. Lead a team to achieve operational objectives and deliver high-quality services to customers
