The Patient Services Specialist will be responsible for greeting and directing patients, answering phone calls, checking patients in and out, and collecting payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls to the appropriate area.">
  • Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.">
  • Verify and update all patient demographics.">
  • Obtain, confirm, and enter patient insurance information.">
  • Schedule patients according to clinic protocol and guidelines.">
  • Prepare charts and print encounter tickets prior to patient visit.">
  • Confirm appointments and document responses in electronic medical records.">
  • Receive and upload laboratory, imaging, and other procedural results into the patient's e-chart.">
  • Collect outstanding balances, co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.">
  • Reconcile the cash drawer as per business office guidelines.">
  • Process inbound and/or outbound referrals.">

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.">
  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare-related field is preferred.">
  • Basic computer skills and effective communication skills are necessary.">
  • A current Texas driver's license is also required.">
