This is a pivotal position that will partner closely with business leaders to manage risk, foster business growth, and ensure legal integrity and compliance throughout operations.
About The Role- Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters and complex projects.
- Draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements for real estate services.
- Advise management on legal matters and risk mitigation, aligned with strategic objectives.
- Support business growth, including navigating new and evolving regulations.
- Collaborate to improve legal processes for enhanced risk management.
- Monitor legal developments and proactively manage associated risks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective legal management.
- Manage and mentor other lawyers in the team, provide leadership in allocating work, training and development, coaching, as well as measuring, appraising and rewarding performance.
- A Bachelor of Laws degree with demonstrable experience.
- A current New South Wales (or equivalent) Practising Certificate.
- At least 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in a full-service law firm or in-house role.
- Proven experience in a commercial setting, with strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent advisory, communication, and leadership capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, commercially minded approach.
- The ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and make sound decisions.
