The Role

We are seeking an experienced Communications Strategist to join our Marketing and Communications Team. This fixed term contract will run for two years, with the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our customers.

You will work closely with our Project Communications Manager to develop and implement effective communications plans, using your high-level writing skills to bring stories and projects to life. Your robust stakeholder management skills will also see you working with teams right across NSW, ACT and WA, providing your communication expertise.

This role will suit a highly organised communications professional with strong interpersonal/relationship-building skills seeking an opportunity to join a leading not-for-profit organisation. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communications plans to engage with various stakeholders
  • Write and edit high-quality content for multiple channels, including web, enews, eDM, email, and print
  • Use your knowledge of social media to create engaging content and monitor our online channels to ensure safety
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to achieve strategic goals
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored communications
Requirements
  • FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS IN COMMUNICATIONS OR A RELATED FIELD
  • AT LEAST 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, writing, and producing content across multiple channels
  • Ability to tailor communications to specific audiences
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience performing administrative tasks in a team environment
  • Genuine alignment to BaptistCare's values
  • High energy and confidence, with the ability to think fast, problem solve and respond to reactive organisational needs
