Facilities Manager Role Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for leading facilities management at a major healthcare client with 26 sites across Queensland. This involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational management to ensure high-quality facilities performance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement facilities strategies aligned with the client's objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with tenant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee compliance and risk management to protect the client's interests and ensure lease compliance.
  • Manage facilities data and documentation within the designated platform.
  • Drive critical facilities operations, including contractor performance, procurement, compliance, risk management, and incident reporting.
  • Manage essential services such as air conditioning, lifts, and fire safety where the client has responsibility.
  • Streamline and optimize service contracts and contractor performance.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives and programs aligned with the client strategy.
  • Implement small-scale capital works projects.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio management team to develop annual budgets and reforecasting as required.
  • Conduct fortnightly presentation inspections for all assets.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • We seek an experienced facilities manager with at least 5 years of experience managing facilities on behalf of asset owners.
  • Strong contractor and contract management skills are essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, including report writing, are necessary.
  • A problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to operational challenges are critical.
  • Candidates must be collaborative and committed to supporting broader team goals.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Queensland is necessary.
