Key Corporate Banking Role

We are seeking a seasoned banking professional to lead our Australian corporate banking team in Sydney or Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, driving business development, and ensuring credit and risk management across the portfolio.

  • Client Relationship Management
    • Manage long-term relationships with C-suite executives and senior management.
    • Understand client strategic objectives, financial needs, and industry challenges.
    • Achieve financial objectives by leveraging products and services.
  • Business Development & Origination
    • Identify opportunities to cross-sell products across Banking, Markets, and Treasury and Trade Solutions.
    • Collaborate with product partners and global teams to deliver integrated solutions.
    • Lead origination, structuring, and execution of complex transactions and financings.
  • Credit & Risk Management
    • Actively manage credit exposure and associated risks within the client portfolio.
    • Allocate capital prudently and in accordance with shareholder return objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Market & Industry Knowledge
    • Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape.
    • Provide insights and thought leadership on relevant topics.
  • Leadership and Team Collaboration
    • Foster a collaborative environment with product partners and global teams.
    • Act as a mentor and leader to junior team members.
    • Contribute to the overall strategic direction, culture, and success of the corporate banking team.

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of corporate finance, transaction banking, and capital markets products.
  • Proven experience in client relationship management, business development, and credit and risk management.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Ability to keep up-to-date with market trends and industry developments.
