Job Description

As an analyst for the Large-cap portfolio within Global Corporate Banking, you will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with public and private companies, focusing on Australian and New Zealand headquartered firms. The team offers traditional corporate banking services along with investment banking products. You will work closely with business partners and product specialists across Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, Treasury Services, and Risk Management to identify cross-selling opportunities and support ongoing client needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Bankers to originate and generate new banking opportunities from prospective and existing clients.
  • Assess and review client profiles, credit risks, and handle structuring and documentation of credit requests.
  • Work with credit underwriting teams on client and credit risk analysis, transaction structuring, and documentation.
  • Serve as a primary contact for existing clients, managing day-to-day inquiries.
  • Support the deal team in generating financing, corporate finance, treasury services, and market opportunities.
  • Review complex financial models to assist in credit decision-making, especially for new-to-bank transactions.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking with a focus on credit or corporate finance.
  • Strong skills in credit analysis, financial modeling, and knowledge of banking products.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Motivated team player with a collaborative mindset, capable of working with various stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, ethical, and proactive.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
