Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Specialist to support operations at our site in South Australia.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualification and experience or 3 years of relevant work experience, as well as full/unrestricted driver's licence, agricultural background/experience, basic mechanical knowledge, and good communication skills.

Duties:
  • Develop and implement irrigation programs, equipment upgrades, and new installs to ensure efficient water delivery and crop production.
  • Oversee and maintain irrigation systems and programs to optimize water usage and improve crop quality.
  • Supervise the installation of new irrigation systems, drainage, and water harvesting systems.
  • Evaluate crop water use and forecast equipment needs to ensure efficient production.
Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing irrigation solutions that minimize water waste and maximize crop yields.
  • Maintaining and repairing irrigation systems, including pumps, pipes, and sprinklers.
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification and experience, or 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Full/unrestricted driver's licence.
  • Agricultural background/experience.
  • BASIC MECHANICAL KNOWLEDGE.
  • BASIC RECORD-KEEPING CAPABILITIES.
  • SELF-MOTIVATED.
  • HONEST.
  • EXPERIENCED IN THE USE OF HARVESTERS/TRACTORS.
  • GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
  • EXCELLENT ATTITUDE.
