About Our Senior Home Care Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Home Care Worker to join our team.

Your key responsibilities will involve assisting clients with daily activities, managing their medication, and promoting independence while upholding our Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

This role offers variety and flexibility, with a combination of hands-on client support and office-based responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing Personal Care: Assisting clients with showering, dressing, toileting, and other personal care needs.
  • Medication Management: Supporting clients with medication administration and management.
  • Domestic Support: Assisting with domestic tasks and meal preparation.
  • Social Support: Providing transport, outings, and social support to enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Wellbeing Maintenance: Maintaining clients' wellbeing and updating care plans accordingly.
  • Training and Mentorship: Mentoring and training Home Care Workers to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
  • Completion of key units: HLTHPS006 - Assist client with medication, HLTAAP001 – Recognise healthy body systems, CHCCCS031 – Provide individualised support
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a direct care role
  • Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certificates
  • A current driver's licence and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
