We are currently in search of a HSE Lead to support our project operations in the Rockhampton region. This role will focus on providing HSE guidance and ensuring adherence to both client and organizational health, safety, and environmental standards. The position is available for immediate commencement, featuring a rotating schedule of 8 days on and 6 days off.
Role Responsibilities
- Offer expert HSE advice and support to our clients.
- Enhance HSE performance, culture, and management systems.
- Conduct and assist with HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and training sessions.
- Monitor operational practices to ensure compliance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Ensure all HSE processes and activities, including JHA's and permits, align with applicable HSE legislation and company standards.
- Provide practical support to implement HSE enhancements, strategies, or solutions.
- Stay informed on contemporary HSE practices to recommend and apply effective HSE solutions.
- Perform routine and ad-hoc analyses and investigations on HSE performance metrics to identify trends and areas of concern or risk at the project or site level. Propose and follow up on action recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- A Certificate IV qualification in OHS and/or Environmental or a related field is essential, with a Diploma preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar HSE Lead role, ideally within the Resources sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of site HSE policies and procedures, along with extensive familiarity with HSE legislation and standards.
- Proficient in assembling and maintaining documentation and quality records, with the ability to generate reports using the MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the capability to build interpersonal relationships across all organizational levels.
