**About the Role**

AGL Energy is seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to lead our Data Council and drive data governance initiatives. As a key member of our Cloud Analytics and Data Platforms Technology team, you will play a critical role in ensuring effective data management and governance across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Lead the Data Council, coordinating activities, meetings, and initiatives to ensure alignment and buy-in for change initiatives.
* Develop and integrate detailed change management plans into project plans, ensuring timelines, communication strategies, and resource requirements are met.
* Facilitate stakeholder meetings and workshops to ensure alignment and buy-in for change initiatives.
* Develop and deliver clear, concise communication plans and materials, including presentations, emails, and newsletters.
* Identify training needs related to change initiatives and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs, providing ongoing support and guidance.
* Prepare regular reports for senior management on the status and impact of change initiatives, implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance future efforts.

**Requirements**

* Prior experience working in a change analyst role and experience supporting data governance initiatives.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
* Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with stakeholders across different business units.
* In-depth knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
* Experience with change impact analysis and risk assessment.
* Skilled in creating and delivering effective presentations and materials to diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
* Strong understanding of data modelling, data mapping, and data structures.
* Background in agile delivery with experience using tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
