Site Operations Manager

Job Description:

Boral Quarries seeks a dynamic and strategic Site Operations Manager to lead site activities, focusing on safety, environmental stewardship, quality control, and operational performance.

Your day will involve:

  • Safety First: Champion and enforce safety protocols to achieve outstanding performance outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence: Manage daily operations effectively, ensuring production priorities align with quality standards and forecasts.
  • People Leadership: Lead and inspire staff and contractors through hands-on management and mentorship.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the site adheres to all licensing, consent, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Contribution: Play a key role in strategic planning and execution of both short-term and long-term Capital Works and maintenance.

As the Site Operations Manager, you'll report directly to the Quarries Operations Manager and be responsible for:

  • Championing a positive safety culture.
  • Managing daily operations, including production planning and control.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing team.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven Leadership: Extensive experience in Quarrying Operations or Mining with a strong track record of leadership.
  • Relevant Site Senior Executive notice.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • LEAN Manufacturing Experience: Familiarity with LEAN principles is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: Relevant Quarry management qualifications and/or tertiary education.
