Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Environmental Planner/Advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex environmental and biodiversity planning projects, utilizing technical expertise to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice aligned with legislative requirements, ensuring compliance and optimal results.
  • Manage project teams, including external consultants, to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster high performance within the team, promoting continuous improvement and capability development.
  • Contribute technical expertise to strategy and policy development, driving organizational growth.
  • Facilitate community consultations and represent the client at forums, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Possess a current driver's licence.
  • Act as a key delegate and provide professional advice to stakeholders, building strong relationships.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualification, such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in biodiversity or environmental planning, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects and lead multidisciplinary teams, managing time-critical environments and diverse stakeholder interests.
  • Strong project management and risk assessment skills, with expertise in relevant legislation and planning principles.
  • Excellent communication skills for complex concepts, enabling effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation.
