Job Title:

A Senior Environmental Planner is required to provide strategic environmental planning advice for a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement environmental plans and strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit approval applications for infrastructure and energy projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Provide technical expertise to inform project planning and delivery, collaborating with clients and stakeholders as necessary.
  • Manage and oversee the preparation of planning and environmental assessments, feasibility studies, permitting and licensing documentation, and other related documents.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Town/Urban Planning, Environmental Science/Engineering, or related field is essential.
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in town planning, environmental and planning approvals, and environmental impact assessment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland and Commonwealth planning and environmental approvals framework, process, and legislation relevant to infrastructure projects.
  • Experience engaging with regulators to progress planning and environmental approvals, including local government, DSDIP, DETSI, DAF, and DCCEEW.
