Award rate $31.24 per hour + Super + Paid KM's + Phone Allowance.

Job Description

As an Aged Care Assistant with KinCare, your day will include:

  • Providing domestic assistance to ensure our customers' homes are safe and beautiful places to live.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Offering social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay connected and engaged.
  • Providing personal care, including getting customers up, showered, and dressed for the day, as well as managing medications and assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Delivering respite and emotional support to help our customers cope with challenging situations.
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is an essential part of this role.
  • The ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems while knowing when to seek support from your Manager.
