Job Opportunity: EAP Counsellor in Canberra

We are seeking a skilled EAP Counsellor to join our team in Canberra. As an EAP Counsellor, you will provide short-term interventions for our clients' staff accessing their EAP. Your responsibilities will include identifying presenting problems, gaining agreement with the client's staff about treatment goals, and providing an appropriate evidence-based intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of short-term interventions for EAP clients
  • Identify presenting problems and provide evidence-based interventions
  • Apply risk management and refer to appropriate services when required
  • Comply with Workplace Health and Safety procedures

Requirements:

  • Psychologist with current General Registration status with AHPRA or Social Worker with current full membership with the AASW
  • Skilled in short-term evidence-based interventions for psychosocial issues in an EAP context
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability Insurance
  • Willing to obtain a new National Police Check clearance
  • Social Workers - hold or willing to obtain a Blue Card
