Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Home Care Worker to join our team in Canberra North. As a Home Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $31.24 per hour, plus superannuation, paid kilometers, phone allowance, and discounts on car maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Your day will include:

  • Domestic Assistance: assisting customers with cleaning their homes to ensure a safe and beautiful living environment
  • Meal Preparation and Shopping: helping customers with meal preparation and shopping tasks
  • Social Support and Transport: providing social support and transportation to lifestyle activities
  • Personal Care: assisting customers with personal care tasks, including getting up, showered, and dressed for the day, medication management, and mobility assistance
  • Respite and Emotional Support: providing respite and emotional support to customers
  • Social Support and Appointments: providing social support and transportation to appointments
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability or Nursing
  • Experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medications
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle (travel is part of the role)
