The Asset and Facilities Support Officer is responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused strategies and administrative services to enable NSW SES to meet its operational and statutory requirements.
The role involves providing excellent customer service for all fleet-related enquiries, performing various administrative tasks to support the fleet team, managing and coordinating pool and Executive fleet asset replacement schedules, handling total loss insurance claims, organising and responding to internal and external correspondence, including managing the Fleet inbox and Service Desk in a timely and efficient manner, and processing equipment orders and overseeing communication and change management activities for the delivery of new assets and the collection of assets being retired from service.
- Provide exceptional customer experience through proactive and responsive communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform administrative duties such as data entry, document preparation, and filing to support the fleet team.
- Manage and coordinate the scheduling of fleet asset replacements, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
- Handle insurance claims related to fleet assets, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Organise and manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, letters, and other documents.
- Process equipment orders and oversee communication and change management activities for the delivery of new assets and the collection of assets being retired from service.

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A high level of motivation and self-motivation to thrive in a complex and dynamic work environment.
- Knowledge of program and project management methodologies and best practices.
- Understanding of NSW Government Procurement, Supply and Fleet policy and practices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
