About the RoleThe Senior Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) Coordinator leads a team in developing, promoting, implementing, and evaluating health promotion activities to prevent smoking and promote cessation among Aboriginal people.
This role involves coordinating programs to support community-based initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health promotion strategies to address tobacco use and reduce its impact on Aboriginal communities
- Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to deliver targeted interventions and programs
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide leadership and guidance to the TIS team
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A strong understanding of Aboriginal health issues and cultural protocols
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
We offer a competitive salary range of $100,210 - $119,925 per annum, plus a comprehensive package including six weeks' annual leave, salary packaging, and professional development opportunities.
