Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of cleaning services across our hospital sites.

You will have overall responsibility for managing and coordinating our daily cleaning and waste management operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed in compliance with contractual requirements and site-specific needs.

In this role, you will work closely with our General Services Manager and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery, identify areas for improvement, and implement process changes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanliness and Waste Management: Ensure that all hospital areas, including clinical and non-clinical spaces, are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Service Delivery: Manage and coordinate the delivery of cleaning services, including routine and non-routine tasks, to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
  • Talent Management: Lead and develop an effective team, including rostering, managing client requests, and providing coaching and support to staff members.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or aged care environment.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a high-performing team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and procurement processes.
  • Health and Safety: Ability to maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
