Job Title: Senior Landfill Engineer - Melbourne

- An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced consultant to join SLR's Landfill Engineering team as part of the wider Land Quality and Remediation discipline in Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and support your technical growth within the wider team.
- You will be able to display confidence and high-level project management, design investigations, develop engineering solutions to environmental issues at and near landfills, preparation of design documentation in conjunction with design experts and drafters, client management and mentoring of other junior staff in the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree and circa 6-12+ years professional experience in consulting or similar industry role.
- Proven capability in environmental / contamination management (soil and groundwater)/ remediation (soil and groundwater), soil science, preferably in the development, mining and oil and gas sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A high level understanding of key landfill engineering elements.
- Experience in leading the preparation of engineering designs and/or environmental risk assessments and monitoring programs.
