Landfill Engineering Expert

We are seeking an experienced Landfill Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing landfill cells and liners, leachate and landfill gas capture and treatment systems, as well as landfill rehabilitation and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide support on technical growth within the wider team.
- Display confidence and high-level project management skills, designing investigations and developing engineering solutions to environmental issues at and near landfills.
- Prepare design documentation in conjunction with design experts and drafters, as well as prepare and review technical reports from external parties.
- Manage clients and mentor junior staff in the team.
- Design of landfill cells and liners.
- Design of leachate and landfill gas capture and treatment systems.
- Landfill rehabilitation and development.
- Environmental assessment, risk assessment, and monitoring.
- Landfill gas and soil vapour mitigation system design and assessment.
- Contamination assessments and waste projects.
- Professional qualification in environmental science or engineering, or a relevant degree, with 6-12+ years professional experience in consulting or a similar industry role.
- Proven capability in environmental / contamination management (soil and groundwater)/ remediation (soil and groundwater), soil science, preferably in the development, mining, and oil and gas sectors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player capable of working independently and collaborating with other consultants and external experts.
- Collaborative work environment with a unique culture.
- Possibility of working on various types of projects related to landfills.
