Leading Weed Scientist in Agronomy

We are seeking a skilled researcher to join our team at the University of Adelaide, specializing in weed science and agronomy. The successful candidate will undertake laboratory studies on weed seed ecology and field trials on management of target weeds in the southern region.
About the PositionThis is a full-time, fixed-term position up to 2.5 years, with an estimated annual salary range of $98,574 to $105,611. Key Responsibilities- Undertake research on weed seed ecology and management of target weeds in the southern region
- Conduct laboratory studies and field trials, collaborating with growers and agronomists to deliver outcomes
- Analyze data using statistical software packages and communicate findings to stakeholders
- PhD or equivalent experience in agricultural science, environmental science, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in planning and conducting research, including plant sampling and assessment
- Knowledge of dryland farming systems and ability to interact with growers and agronomists
- Publishing record in scholarly journals relative to opportunity
