Research Agronomist in Weed Science

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Agronomist to join our team at the University of Adelaide. This is a fixed-term position up to 2.5 years, with an estimated annual salary of $102,242.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will undertake laboratory studies on weed seed ecology and field trials on management of target weeds in the southern region. They will be responsible for planning and conducting agronomic and/or weed science research, including plant sampling and assessment. The candidate will also need to demonstrate experience in conducting statistical analysis of data from field and laboratory trials using widely applied software packages.
Requirements- A PhD or equivalent experience in agricultural science, environmental science, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in weed science research, including knowledge of dryland farming systems and ability to interact with growers and agronomists to deliver outcomes for their benefit.
- A publication record in scholarly journals relative to opportunity.
- Hold current rights to work in Australia.
