The UTS Faculty of Health is a broad and multi-disciplinary faculty that addresses health from conception to end of life.
Emergency and Critical Care Nursing LeaderA long-standing partner of health professions, the faculty is highly engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the worldwide research community.
About the OpportunityThis leadership role will provide strategic direction, fostering excellence in research, teaching, engagement, and professional activities in the School of Nursing & Midwifery (SONM) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), promoting innovation and research in critical care nursing.
The appointee will allocate 50% of their time to UTS and 50% to NSLHD.
About YouYou are a highly accomplished leader with a proven track record in research and teaching in Emergency and Critical Care. With an international or national profile in this field, you have demonstrated superior leadership skills, particularly in engaging and developing research teams and fostering collaborative relationships both within and outside of the university.
You have significant experience in supervising higher degree research (HDR) students and mentoring research supervisors, further showcasing your commitment to developing the next generation of researchers.
Requirements- PhD in nursing or a related discipline
- APHRA Registration as a nurse
- Evidence of successful leadership in course design and delivery
This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary. The position is part-time (0.8 FTE) and the appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for five years.
The successful candidate will have set days with NSLHD on-site and set days with UTS (the days at UTS will be in line with the UTS hybrid model of working). The days are made in agreement with NSLHD, the successful candidate, and the Manager.
