Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution and adherence to the Site Quality System in alignment with the Voith Group Quality Policy and contractual obligations.
  • Facilitate and promote a continuous improvement framework, ensuring that Root Cause Analysis and lessons learned are effectively documented and addressed on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with the installation team and Engineering to guarantee that operations are conducted safely, adhering to quality benchmarks, client specifications, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Oversee all QA/QC inspections and assessments as per the quality strategy: engage in inspections following the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), secure necessary resources, and coordinate evaluations conducted by specialized service providers (e.g., non-destructive testing professionals).
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise records of quality control activities, inspection outcomes, and corrective measures implemented.
  • Ensure the qualification of welders and inspectors while keeping related documentation up to date.
  • Engage in site nonconformance and technical change requests, driving and monitoring the timely completion of QA corrective actions.
  • Ensure the thoroughness and accuracy of data books, managing and archiving site quality documentation.
  • Oversee the calibration of measurement instruments and ensure compliance tracking.
  • Conduct audits and inspections on-site.
  • Support the site team with QA processes, short- and medium-term work planning, engineering/installation procedures, and other supervisory tasks.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in QA/QC or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven ability to drive project success with a focus on health, safety, environment (HSE), quality, timelines, and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance for large hydro power projects or similar sectors. Construction and/or Electrical & Mechanical experience is essential. Familiarity with the Australian market is advantageous.
  • Strong technical and operational understanding of QA/QC systems aligned with ISO standards.
  • Team-oriented professional with a customer-focused and accountable approach, dedicated to delivering solutions.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and providing strategic problem-solving solutions.
  • Fully proficient in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English within an international team context.

Site Conditions

  • Standard roster of 7 days on-site followed by 7 days off.
  • Typical work schedule consists of hours per day, 7 days a week.
  • Accommodation provided on-site.
