Site Quality Supervisor (m|f|d) - Australia

Are you ready to embrace a new opportunity in Australia? Join us in a significant project within the hydropower and renewable energy sector and play a vital role in advancing the decarbonization trend.

As a Site Quality Supervisor, you will work under the guidance of the Site Quality Manager, overseeing site quality operations, enforcing quality control protocols, and pinpointing areas for enhancement.

Your Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and ensure the application of the Site Quality System in alignment with the Voith Company Quality Policy and contractual obligations.
  • Support and implement a continuous improvement framework, ensuring that Root Cause Analysis and lessons learned are effectively initiated and maintained on-site.
  • Collaborate closely with the site installation team and Engineering to guarantee that tasks are executed safely, adhering to quality standards, customer expectations, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure that all QA/QC inspections and tests are conducted per the quality plan: participate in inspections according to the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), secure necessary resources, and coordinate tests conducted by specialized service providers (e.g., non-destructive testing).
  • Maintain precise and comprehensive records of quality control processes, inspection outcomes, and corrective measures undertaken.
  • Oversee the qualification of welders and inspectors, maintaining relevant documentation.
  • Engage in site nonconformance and technical change requests, driving and monitoring the completion of QA corrective actions efficiently.
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of data books, controlling and archiving site quality documentation.
  • Oversee the calibration of measurement instruments and monitor compliance.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections.
  • Assist the site team with QA processes, short- and medium-term work planning, engineering/installation procedures, and other field supervision responsibilities.

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in QA/QC or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven ability to drive project success with a focus on HSE, quality, timelines, and budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance for large hydropower projects or similar sectors. Construction and/or E&M experience is essential. Familiarity with the Australian market is advantageous.
  • Strong technical and operational understanding of QA/QC systems aligned with ISO:9001.
  • Collaborative team player with a customer-focused and people-oriented approach, accountable, and solution-driven.
  • Proactive mindset in anticipating challenges and delivering strategic problem-solving solutions.
  • Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English within an international team environment.

Site Conditions

  • A typical roster of 14 days in, 7 days out.
  • A typical work schedule of 10 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • Camp accommodation is provided.
