Ecology Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to fill the role of Ecology Consultant within our Botany team.

This junior to mid-level position involves working alongside experienced colleagues who will guide and support you as you accelerate your career in ecology.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Ecology or Botany and 1-2 years' industry experience.

  • Assist in the collection and analysis of ecological field data (flora, fauna, habitat)
  • Prepare equipment, maps and logistics for ecological field surveys
  • Participate in fieldwork across diverse environments and project types
  • Conduct research and summarise findings to support project planning
  • Contribute to the drafting and formatting of technical reports
  • Manage own tasks within allocated budgets and timelines
  • Actively participate in timetabling and resource booking processes
  • Support administrative tasks linked to consulting projects

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Botany, Ecology, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • Field experience in flora surveys, ecological monitoring or assessments.
  • 1-2 years' experience in ecological consulting, bush regeneration or similar industry-related experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A current and valid driver's licence.
