Job Title: Chief Executive Officer
">The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization in achieving its strategic objectives.
">The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and direction, develop and manage the AER's annual budget, and lead and empower the senior leadership team. They will also be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the Chair, overseeing strategic and operational planning, and ensuring the Board is provided with accurate, timely, and clear information and materials.
">The ideal candidate will have executive-level management experience, a proven track record of leadership within a dynamic, complex, and multifaceted public or private sector environment, and a strong understanding of the operations of governments and regulators.
">They will also possess knowledge of Australian electricity and gas markets, and the role, purpose, and objectives of the AER, as well as tertiary qualifications in law, economics/commerce, engineering, public policy, or related fields.
